A 31-year-old man is still fighting for his life two days after a double stabbing in New Malden. 

The incident happened in New Malden High Street at 11.40pm on April 16.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found two men injured.

The pair were taken to hospital for further treatment.

The condition of one of the men, 31, was assessed as life-threatening.

His family have been informed.

The injuries of the second man, 28, has been assessed as not life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (April 18) that the 31-year-old remains in a life-threatening condition.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 101 and quote reference CAD 7447/16apr.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 11.40pm on Sunday, 16 April, to a stabbing incident in New Malden High Street. Officers attended along with ambulance colleagues.

“Two men were taken to hospital suffering stab injuries.

“The condition of one of the men, aged 31 years, has been assessed as life-threatening.

“His family have been informed.

“The condition of the second man, aged 28 years, has been assessed as not life-threatening.

“There has been no arrest at this early stage.
