A man is fighting for his life following an incident on the tracks at Colliers Wood Underground station.

Emergency services were called just before 8.30pm yesterday (October 25).

A man is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Two fire engines and a fire rescue unit from Wimbledon and Tooting fire stations attended the scene.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious and was over for firefighters by 9.50pm.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters were called to assist emergency service partners at an incident at Colliers Wood Underground Station.

“The Brigade was called at 2028 and the incident was over for firefighters by 2150.

“Two fire engines and a fire rescue unit from Wimbledon and Tooting fire stations attended the scene.”

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Colliers Wood station at 8.27pm yesterday evening (25 October) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Paramedics also attended, and a man is being treated in hospital for life-threatening injuries.

“The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
