IN response to the Covid-19 pandemic Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals is calling on its community to support its campaign for more nurses, healthcare assistants, porters and domestic workers.
A number of opportunities are being offered in both qualified and unqualified roles with training and support provided.
These include flexible hours and fast track recruitment into a supportive workforce of 4,400 dedicated professionals.
As well as boosting its current workforce, the Trust is keen to support those who find themselves disadvantaged, displaced or furloughed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The ‘Call to Arms’ is being extended to:
Nurses:
• That are already employed in the public or private sector and would like additional, temporary or fixed hours
• Or those that have been on the NMC register in the last three years but are no longer working clinically
• Or that have retired and would like to help the Covid-19 effort (the NMC has set up a fast track, no fee temporary registration service)
Healthcare assistants:
• That are already in employment (public or private sector) and would like to help the Covid-19 effort
• Or individuals that have a good secondary education, experience working as part of a team and good organisational and communication skills - full training will be provided
Porters and domestics
• People who are physically fit and have good secondary education. Full training will be provided.
A fast track recruitment service has been set up and all roles have been posted on the Trust’s website at www.whh.nhs.uk/workwhh
